‘Prins Claus’ adds a touch of glamour to early spring.

As elegant as its name suggests, this crisp white crocus is set off by dramatic violet markings on the outer petals.

This variety naturalises well, but we think it looks particularly beautiful in pots or planted somewhere you’ll pass by often. One to savour up close, just as the garden begins to wake.

Seed Story

Crocus chrysanthus is native to the Balkans and Turkey, and was first formally described in 1821. Its name means “golden flower,” and it’s been loved for its elegant early blooms ever since.
These species crocuses are far longer-lasting than most hybrids – settling in happily and returning stronger each spring. Plant once, and they’ll signal the start of spring for years to come!
