Seed Story

Crocus tommasinianus is native to Eastern Europe and was first formally described in 1842.

Known affectionately as ‘Tommies’, this species has been a favourite for naturalising in lawns and meadows since Victorian times.

These bulbs don’t need hand-holding – once they’re in, they get on with it. Year after year, they’ll return to mark the change in the seasons.
